Prix du Jury Symbol

‘Prix du Jury’

Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

«Vinissage» embodies the perfect synergy between the Art of Winemaking and the Craft of a Master Cooper. The selected barrel shines for its singular outstanding quality, offering the plénitude, complexity and seamless character more typically obtained by blending multiple barrels, blocks or even terroirs.  The ‘Prix du Jury’ hors-concours barrel is set aside for this special bottling.

Luc Morlet

Each vintage, we meet with some of our most passionate collectors to blind taste individual barrels in order to select the most impressive wine of the year.  The single prized barrel of this special bottling is a symbol of gratitude toward our best supporters.  It is the ‘Jury’s Prize’ or ‘Prix du Jury.’

Winemaker notes:

The single barrel ‘Prix du Jury’ boasts a very intense and fruity bouquet of black currant and wild berries with a hint of pine needles. Very rich and dense, with strong yet melting tannins, this structured and seamless wine culminates in an amazingly long finish. This multi-dimensional Cabernet Sauvignon is a sensational wine to be enjoyed over the next 30 years.
